Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer in Orlando, FL. You will patrol transit facilities, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns while providing excellent customer service to passengers, staff, and visitors.

This role requires an armed guard license, 2+ years of experience, and strong communication with law enforcement when needed. Day-to-day duties include reporting incidents, maintaining equipment, and following site policies.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Incident Documentation in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to passengers, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities and transit locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; coordinate with dispatch, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, vehicle staging areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry where required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and observed conditions, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
