Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Armed Security Officer in Orlando, FL to monitor and protect guests at a premier performing arts venue. You will perform armed patrols, provide exceptional service, and respond to security incidents maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Minimum requirements include 1+ year armed security or related experience, CPO certification, an armed guard card, and a high school diploma.

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPO certification required.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Able to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons, performers, staff, and visitors while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of public areas, backstage spaces, parking areas, and entry points.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and screen visitors, vendors, and deliveries per site requirements.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate to site leadership.

As an Armed Security Officer at a premier performing arts location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests, staff, and performers through exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patrons, performers, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a performing arts venue.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of public areas, backstage spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and screen or direct visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
