Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and the public while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control visitor entry, and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Maintain reports and logs and handle equipment per laws and Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Asset Protection in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 06:45 AM - 05:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control visitor entry, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and site contacts as appropriate.
• Maintain required reports and activity logs, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
