As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and screening activities. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while responding to situations with integrity, reliability, and care. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM; Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and site representatives as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
