Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for overnight shifts in Greenville, SC. You will safeguard client facilities, monitor access, perform patrols, and provide professional customer service at a defense-related site.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, maintaining security reports, and enforcing site policies. A valid armed guard license and at least three years in security or related fields are required, with a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience or equivalent law enforcement/military background.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense billing operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, while maintaining awareness of restricted areas and sensitive business operations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
