Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Officer - Badge Access in Greenville, SC to protect clients in aerospace/defense locations. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork and integrity.

The role requires an armed guard card, 3+ years of security experience, a high school diploma, and a pre-employment background check with a drug screen where permitted.

Qualifications

• Must possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state and local laws.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; driving positions require a valid driver's license.
• Access control/badge experience preferred; drug screen required where permitted.

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain entry records, and report discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms with calm, professional armed response in line with training and laws.
• Document patrols and incidents and communicate information to site leadership and supervision.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-control discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide armed response within training, licensing, post orders, and applicable laws.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
