Job summary

Allied Universal, Greenville, SC, is seeking an Armed Security Guard - Property Access to protect and serve clients across aerospace/defense locations. You will monitor and patrol, control access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Requires an Armed Guard Card or license, 3+ years related experience, and a valid driver's license. The role is full-time with a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule and a $22.00/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Armed guard credentials required for armed post.
• 3+ years security/military/police experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Access control/badge handling experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while enforcing access-control procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and escalate per post orders.
• Conduct armed patrols of facilities, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors/deliveries, and keep logs.

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
