Qualifications

• Background check per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Armed Access - Overnight in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will deliver exceptional customer service while communicating clearly with visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at the retail and showroom location, verify authorization for employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, sales areas, parking areas, delivery zones, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site representatives, customers, and emergency responders while documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
