Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for Customer Access in Greenville, SC. You will monitor and deter incidents, manage access control, and provide professional, responsive service to clients and staff in an aerospace/defense environment.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour. Candidates should have at least 3 years of security experience, an armed license, and a valid driver’s license; strong customer service skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and per post orders.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, and parking lots to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, log visitor and vehicle entry, report suspicious activity.
• Maintain equipment proficiency, complete required reports, and follow laws and client procedures.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle entry, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and firearms, complete required reports, and follow applicable laws, company policies, and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
