Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen visitors, packages, and personal belongings in accordance with established access-control procedures; operate screening equipment and report prohibited or suspicious items.
• Verify identification, maintain visitor logs, issue access credentials as directed, and direct individuals to appropriate areas within the government facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
