Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Security Screening in Bushnell, FL. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and help maintain an orderly environment at a government facility.

This part-time role offers a schedule that includes daytime Thursday and Friday shifts and uses our Claim a Shift platform. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years in law enforcement or related fields, plus an armed guard card, and must be 21+.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering the government facility using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; communicate prohibited-item concerns according to post instructions.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and maintain entry records as required by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and/or public-service agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
