Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Checkpoint Screening in Bushnell, FL. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and maintain a secure environment for government locations while delivering professional customer service and clear communication.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour. Schedule includes Tue–Fri 08:00–17:00 with shifts at government facilities. Must have an Armed Guard Card and meet age/diploma requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Armed Guard Card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted.
• Industry-specific security training required.
• Licensing varies by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff and the public while conducting screening.
• Screen individuals and belongings at the government facility using screening procedures and report prohibited items.
• Verify access credentials and direct visitors to appropriate locations; maintain visitor and incident records.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate personnel and public protection resources.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, public areas and facility perimeter.

You will use your law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience to identify and report security-related concerns while delivering professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering the government facility using established screening equipment and procedures; report prohibited items or concerns according to site protocols.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public protection resources when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, public areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
