Job summary

Allied Universal seeks an Armed Security Officer Screener in Bushnell, FL to protect government sites by screening visitors and belongings, controlling access, and maintaining orderly environments. You will be highly visible and communicate professionally with the public and site personnel.

The role requires at least 2 years of related security or law enforcement experience, an armed guard card, and a high school diploma. The position is full-time with a daytime schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and personal property using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, reporting prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Control access points by verifying identification, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
