Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff and the public by conducting site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering the government facility using screening equipment and report prohibited items or suspicious activity.
• Verify visitor access requirements, direct guests to appropriate locations, and maintain a professional presence at entry points.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner per post instructions and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering the government facility using assigned screening equipment and procedures; report prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify visitor access requirements, direct guests to appropriate locations, and maintain a professional, courteous presence at assigned entry points.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations as directed to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
