• Screen individuals and authorized property entering designated areas using established procedures and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify visitor access, provide directions, and maintain a professional presence at screening locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following protocols and notifying law enforcement or facility personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior and perimeter areas and document observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Screening Specialist in Bushnell, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and authorized property entering designated areas using established procedures and screening equipment; report prohibited items, unusual activity, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify visitor access requirements, provide directions, and maintain a professional, courteous presence at assigned screening locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate law enforcement or facility personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
