Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Armed Certified Patrol Driver to protect a retail grocery location. This role requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, a valid driver's license, and the ability to respond to incidents professionally.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor accesses, complete reports, and uphold Allied Universal values of integrity and teamwork. This is a full-time position with a day and night schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a retail grocery location.
• Perform armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading docks, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points, deliveries, and employee/vendor activity as assigned, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Armed Certified Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. A valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification are required.
