Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. You will provide exceptional service and clear communication while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail store, parking areas, loading docks, perimeter, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, and security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
