Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and document security-related incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations.
• Maintain required armed officer certifications and handle issued equipment in accordance with applicable laws, client requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
