Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a security position at a healthcare location. You will provide access control, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs and coordinating with site contacts.

A valid concealed carry permit is required for armed roles, with 1+ year of security or related experience. You will participate in regular patrols, document observations, and support a safe environment for patients, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
• Concealed carry weapons permit required for armed roles.
• Minimum 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Job Schedule

• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Monitor and manage access points by verifying identification, screening authorized entry, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required access logs.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, restricted locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
