Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed security professional in Seattle to provide customer-focused security services at a major retail location. You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, document observations, and maintain readiness of equipment in compliance with laws and site policies.

The role requires an active concealed carry permit, 3+ years in a related security role, and an armed guard license.

Qualifications

• Possess a concealed carry permit.
• 3+ years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed guard.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen per law.
• Participate in security training programs.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.
• Driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members while following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols in the retail location, parking and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain readiness of equipment and carry firearms and related gear in line with laws and site policies.
• Monitor access points, assist with directions/requests, and report security concerns.

Pay Rate: $40.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:30 AM - 08:30 PM
• Sat 07:30 AM - 08:30 PM
• Sun 07:30 AM - 08:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site-specific policies.
• Support a professional environment by monitoring access points, assisting with directions or requests, and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have 3 or more years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed guard, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
