Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time security officer in Seattle, WA. You will provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while upholding site policies and security procedures.

Daily duties include patrolling buildings and perimeter areas, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents with calm professionalism. You will document activities and liaise with emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background check and drug screening by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Tue 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Wed 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Thur 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Fri 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sat 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unusual conditions or incidents.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, observations, and shift handoffs in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
