Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and access policies.
• Screen individuals and items entering the location using screening equipment and procedures; escalate prohibited items.
• Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization; maintain visitor/access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document thoroughly.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, common areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Security Officer Access Screener in Traverse City, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals and permitted items entering the location using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, escalating prohibited items or irregularities according to site policy.
• Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization; maintain accurate visitor and access-related records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entry points, common areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
