Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Screen packages, freight, vehicles, and/or personnel in accordance with site procedures and screening requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen packages, freight, vehicles, and/or personnel in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
