Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while using technology to support daily operations. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or personnel entering the location by verifying identification, access authorization, and required credentials.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and access-control systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, screening records, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
