Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a high-volume technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access screening requirements.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering designated areas using established equipment and procedures, escalating prohibited items, access concerns, and irregularities to appropriate site personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation in accordance with site policies; maintain accurate screening and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Digital Screening in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related procedures. Use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly with guests and team members, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
