Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Screening Technology for North Andover, MA. You will screen people and items, support access procedures, and respond to security concerns using computer or tablet systems, contributing to a welcoming and safe environment.

This is a full-time position with shifts across Daytime and Night schedules and an hourly pay of $20.44.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience with access-control procedures and visitor screening is a plus.
• Must be comfortable using computers or tablets for screening tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while enforcing site-specific security procedures.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and materials entering the location according to access-control requirements.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and entry credentials; maintain screening records.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and entry points to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Technology in North Andover, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help create a welcoming environment by screening people and items, supporting access procedures, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and help maintain an organized experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and/or materials entering the technology location in accordance with established access-control requirements.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and entry credentials; maintain accurate visitor and screening records as required.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
