Responsibilities

• Screen individuals, packages, and freight entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, problem-solving, and documentation.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Access Screener in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and materials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a smooth operation. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or freight entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
