As a Security Officer Unarmed - General Duty in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen individuals and materials, and help maintain a secure environment. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with site requirements; verify authorized access and report irregularities through established procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, access points, and designated screening areas to help deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
