Job summary

Allied Universal in Ladson, SC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Monitor Screening to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will monitor access, screen individuals and items, and provide outstanding customer service while using computer or tablet systems.

This role offers flexible scheduling (Fri/Sat 3-11 PM), a $16.33 per hour pay rate, and opportunities to grow with training and special perks through Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, and visitors entering restricted operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly report observations and concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading zones, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
