Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for Entrance Screening at our Ladson, SC site. You will perform site-specific screening for drivers and visitors, verify IDs, and maintain logs to support secure operations at a logistics location.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts on weekends with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, allowing flexible income growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time - Entrance Screening in Ladson, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures and report prohibited or suspicious items to appropriate site personnel.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization while maintaining accurate screening‑related records and logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
