Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify access, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and access-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.

As an Access Control Security Professional at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitors and credentials, managing access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with residents and guests, and remain visible to help deter incidents. Pay Rate: $15.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
