Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Boca Raton, FL to monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment for residents and staff. The role offers flexible shifts and growth opportunities within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as per laws; drug screen where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, employees, delivery personnel, and vendors while following site security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, coordinating with site contacts and responders as needed.
• Conduct patrols of properties and deter unauthorized access; report concerns per procedures.

As an Access Control Officer, you will help support a welcoming, controlled environment at residential and food and beverage locations by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, communicate professionally with residents, guests, and employees, and respond to concerns with care and integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon - 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun - 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, employees, delivery personnel, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, delivery, and vehicle access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential areas, food and beverage facility grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Report unusual activity, property concerns, and maintenance-related observations in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access and support an orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
