Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access-control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, employees, delivery personnel, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, delivery, and vehicle access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential areas, food and beverage facility grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Report unusual activity, property concerns, and maintenance-related observations in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access and support an orderly environment.

As an Access Control Officer, you will help support a welcoming, controlled environment at residential and food and beverage locations by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, communicate professionally with residents, guests, and employees, and respond to concerns with care and integrity. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
