Job summary

Allied Universal in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to deliver reliable, flexible security coverage at an assigned site on a fixed shift with opportunities to pick up additional hours.

Pay rate is $15.76 per hour, with a schedule covering DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM and a path to increasing hours through the Earn More program. A Guard Card, HS diploma, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at community entry points, verify authorization, issue visitor access instructions, and maintain accurate access-related logs.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, property concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Communicate clearly with residents, property management, and emergency responders while documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Dispatch in Boca Raton, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
