Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Jefferson City, TN to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent service to employees and visitors at a manufacturing/industrial site.

You will manage access logs, respond calmly to incidents, and conduct patrols to deter security risks while supporting site operations, with a visible presence that helps maintain safe conditions throughout the premise.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation subject to federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by executing site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, perimeter, gates, parking areas, and restricted zones, to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities through required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
