Job summary

Allied Universal, Sedalia, MO, is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to security concerns.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour. Schedule: DayTime Thu–Sun shifts with evening coverage. Join a caring culture that puts people first.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a manufacturing site by following access‑control policies.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Respond calmly to alarms and incidents, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, adjacent areas, parking, and perimeter.
• Document security activities and maintenance concerns with timely reports.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document security‑related activities, incidents, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through clear and timely reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
