Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Access Authorization in Gardner, KS to protect clients and assets and ensure safe entry control at a manufacturing and industrial site.

You will verify credentials, monitor access points, issue visitor badges, respond to incidents, and uphold site policies with professionalism and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, maintain access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with controlling access for deliveries, contractors, and vendors, while documenting security-related activity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon - 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue - 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed - 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur - 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri - 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, maintain access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with controlling access for deliveries, contractors, and vendors, while supporting compliance with site rules and documenting relevant security-related activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
