Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for the Construction Gatehouse in Mesa, AZ. You will protect client sites, manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and respond to security concerns with professionalism.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour, with schedules that include early morning shifts. You will perform patrols, document incidents, and uphold post orders while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per law.
• Criminal history considered with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies at an industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in clear, accurate reports.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial construction location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, work areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, access-control issues, and observations in clear, accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
