Allied Universal® in Olathe, KS is hiring a Security Officer Access Control. This full-time role focuses on managing entry points, verifying authorized access, and maintaining security at a logistics and distribution location in Olathe, Kansas.

You will provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers while upholding site procedures and safety standards. The position requires compliance with background checks and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas, gates, and/or facilities, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
