MaineHealth is seeking a Security Officer for Maine Medical Center in Portland to monitor the healthcare environment, deter security incidents, and de-escalate situations as they arise. Summary

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. If appropriate for location, must obtain IAHSS certification within one year of hire required.
  • License/Certifications: Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Valid Driver’s license if required at local Health System. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar to be completed within local Health System requirements. Completion of HIC 100, 200, and 700 if required by facility.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in hospital safety and security preferred.
