Job summary

Nashville Downtown Hotel LLC is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard guests, employees and property, ensuring safety and service standards. You will respond promptly to incidents, act as first responder in emergencies, and conduct thorough safety walkthroughs across all areas of the hotel.

Responsibilities include enforcing health and safety regulations, preparing theft and injury reports, handling lost & found, assisting guests with concerns, and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Previous hotel security experience preferred
• Proficient in written and verbal communication
• Ability to multi-task and handle peak periods while maintaining service standards
• Proficient in reading safety rules and operating instructions
• Upholds professionalism and guest/colleague respect
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Be first responder in emergencies (guest illness, fire, employee accident)
• Visually inspect hotel areas and conduct safety walkthroughs across departments
• Address issues, resolve problems, and follow the shift schedule
• Maintain safety and service standards with a professional attitude
• Communicate calmly and clearly during incidents and give directions
• Prepare reports (theft, injuries, incidents) as required
• Handle lost & found according to procedures
• Assist with guest concerns and escalate as needed
• May work in other hotel areas as needed
• Maintain a safe work environment according to handbook guidelines

Position Overview: Responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees, and property, while maintaining standards of service.
