Job summary

Northwood Hospitality LLC's Conrad Nashville is seeking a Security Officer to uphold safety programs and protect guests and team members. You will participate in loss prevention, conduct property rounds, and coordinate security logs and inspections in a hospitality setting.

Key duties include enforcing emergency policies, maintaining incident records, and collaborating with the Safety Committee to support compliance and Forbes Service standards.

Qualifications

18 years or older.
Must have or be able to obtain a Tennessee Unarmed guard license.
Must have or be able to obtain all Dallas Law Certifications in accordance with Tennessee State Law.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Uphold Emergency policies and procedures for the security department and Conrad Nashville.
Conduct routine checks with compliance for fire, health, safety in all areas.
Ensure professional conduct of all Security department roles and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local laws, and Northwood Hospitality policies and safety standards.
Deliver proactive and appropriate security service to guests and hotel team members in a friendly, calm, approachable manner.
Walk throughout the property, conduct physical property rounds.
Maintain schedules for inspections and keep clear records with data and follow-up.
Resolve, document, and track all security issues or concerns & follow up by shift.
Complete and uphold all necessary Risk Management assessments.
Participate in property Safety Committee supporting all incentives and systems.
Uphold all Loss Prevention and Safety Manual.
Coordinate timely preparation of all Security logs, shift reports, and other records.
Inform Director of Security of all safety and security matters.
Maintain adherence to Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Control program.
Set and maintain standards for investigations and reporting.
Conduct detailed investigations into work-related injuries with HR.
Manage lost and found items via web-based system.
Maintain MSDS master files for all hotel departments and ensure accessibility.
Coordinate cooperation between Security/Safety staff and local law enforcement and agencies.
Follow Forbes Service guidelines for excellence across the hotel.
Ensure guest needs are addressed immediately and follow up on complaints.
Complete daily reports and conduct hotel walks.
Uphold SOPs and department culture.
Handle VIP guest procedures and security for all.
Maintain access logs for cameras, keys, radios, storerooms.

Job Summary

As a Security & loss Prevention Officer upholds and demonstrates at all times the implementation of all safety and security programs and initiatives to ensure the safety of guests and team members. The security of the hotel and its’ property, ensuring at all times service is offered pro-actively and clearly, calming communicated and has the ability to listen. With the peace of mind to react to all situations professionally and in a timely manner. Able to be part of a team and take ownership for any situation as to gain a “win win” at all times Protects and upholds all property procedures for the wellbeing and safety of all guests, visitors and team members, always acting in a role of Health & Safety Ambassador. Reacts as part of the EMG and response team.

Job Duties

Upholds the Emergency policies and procedures for the security department and Conrad Nashville
Conducts all routine checks with compliance for the fire, health, safety in all areas

Delivers at all times a proactive and appropriate security service to our guests and hotel team members in a friendly, calm, approachable manner
Walks throughout the property, continuous conducting physical property rounds
Maintains schedules for all inspections, including the Fire Equipment Survey, Safety Checklist, and Security Inspection of Guest rooms, clear record keeping with accurate data and clear follow up
Resolves, documents, and track all security related issues or concerns & follow up by shift
Completes and upholds all necessary Risk Management assessments
Participates in property Safety Committee supporting all incentives, use of Lost & found systems, Quore, KIPSU and all key / ENG systems, MsShift
Upholds all Loss Prevention and Safety Manual
Coordinate the timely preparation of all Security logs, shift reports, and other permanent records
Inform Director of Security of all matters concerning safety and security
Maintain adherence to Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Control program.
Set and maintain standards for all investigations, report via a standard format within time frame
Conduct detailed investigations into work-related injuries with the communication lines to HR
Responsible for the search, storage and return of all lost and found items via web-based system
Maintain and update master files of all MSDS information for all hotel departments. Ensure that all departments have correct information accessible to all team members.
Maintain cooperative working relationships between all Security/Safety staff and other hotel team members / local law enforcement and other agencies to promote timely and effective exchange of information
Follows and offers a consistent authentic delivery of Forbes Service guidelines for excellence. Maintaining all standards throughout the hotel for team delivery in line with Forbes Service of Excellence
Ensure all guest needs are given immediately attention, complaints are accepted, recorded, and followed up accordingly to standards, showing good listening skills with the ability to resolve concerns in a proactive manner.
To complete all daily reports and walk the hotel, includes all equipment
Upholds executing department culture to maintain all SOP standards
With empowerment to resolve any guest concerns, shows empathy, offers apologies and demonstrates good listening skills with the ability to resolve concerns in a proactive manner, or seek guidance to do so.
Upholds all procedures for VIP guests, security protocol and safety of all
Ensures daily camera / key / radio / storeroom access / building access logs are maintained consistently
Remain calm, controlled, manner at all times to ensure a positive resolution in difficult situations (including yet not restricted to: Suspected incident / aggressive / emergency / medical)

Specific Job Knowledge, skills & Abilities

18 years or older
Reliable transportation to and from work
Must have or be able to obtain a Tennessee Unarmed guard license
Must have or be able to obtain all Dallas Law Certifications in accordance with Tennessee State Law
High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours a day. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual activity.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
All team members must maintain a neat, professional, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned.
