Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Night Shift Security role at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. You will maintain a safe environment by responding to threats, documenting incidents, and supporting emergency drills while assisting visitors and staff with clear information.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience). Drivers license is required and BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Drivers license required prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Security guard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to potential security threats immediately to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Manage and document safety incidents to ensure hazards are identified and resolved.
• Lead emergency preparedness drills to ensure team readiness for crises.
• Assist visitors and staff with information and directions to promote campus security.
• Patrol grounds to enforce safety protocols and ensure accessible parking.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Security Guard preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
