Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Panama City, FL, is seeking a Security professional for evening full-time shifts (3 PM – 11:30 PM). The role involves monitoring for threats, investigating incidents, and assisting staff and visitors to maintain a safe environment.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus security licenses within 90 days. BLS/CPR certification preferred; law enforcement or security experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of related experience.
• Class D and Class G licenses must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Law enforcement experience preferred.
• Security professional background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor for and respond quickly and professionally to security threats, incidents, and hazards.
• Conduct investigations, document incidents, and assist in training staff on safety procedures.
• Assist staff and visitors with information to promote overall safety.
• Perform foot and vehicle patrols, manage traffic and parking enforcement, report equipment issues.
• Maintain safe driving practices while operating facility vehicles.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Proactively monitor for and respond quickly and professionally to all security threats, incidents, and hazards.


• Conduct investigations, meticulously document incidents, and assist in training staff on the environment of care and emergency management procedures/drills.


• Act as a helpful resource, providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote overall safety.


• Perform foot and vehicle patrols, manage traffic and parking enforcement, and report any potential equipment malfunctions.


• Maintain safe and responsible driving practices while operating facility vehicles

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.


• Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date required.


• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Law Enforcement preferred.


• Security Professional preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
