Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL, seeks a Security Officer to lead and support a team, monitor reports, and ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors. The role includes coordinating daily operations, handling escalated issues, and assisting with staffing and planning.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license required for IL
• BLS Provider preferred; American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted
• Security Guard credential preferred by state regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead and support assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors; monitor performance, review reports for accuracy, and promote teamwork and accountability.
• Coordinate daily operations by prioritizing workflow, supporting decision-making and problem-solving, addressing escalated issues, and assisting with staffing and organizational planning.
• Investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards while performing core security officer duties as needed.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, enforce traffic and parking regulations, and operate security vehicles safely and responsibly.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Drivers License credentialed from the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (IL-DMV) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Security Guard credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
