Securitas USA in Springfield, OR is seeking a Security Officer for a long-term, full-time assignment. The role pays $19.50 per hour and entails protecting people, property and assets while maintaining a safe environment.

You will patrol premises, monitor systems, control access, respond to emergencies, and ensure safety protocols are followed. A HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and good computer skills are required.

This is a long-term, temporary assignment

Site Location: Springfield, OR

Wage : $19.50/HR

Schedule :

• 1) Friday - Saturday 4:30pm-4:30am, Sunday 4:30pm-6am
• 2) Tuesday - Thursday 4:30pm-6am
• 3) Saturday - Sunday 4:30am-4:30pm, Monday 4:30pm - 6am

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
