Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Springfield, Oregon. The role involves Saturday and Sunday shifts, maintaining a secure environment and protecting people and property. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

You will monitor access points, patrol the site, respond to incidents, and coordinate with team members to ensure safety and compliance. Reliable judgment, calm demeanor, and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout shift.
• Must respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct long patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
