Securitas, Inc. in Salem, OR is seeking a Security Officer for full-time, night hours to protect people, property, and assets. You will patrol premises, monitor systems, control access, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, and possess strong observation and communication skills. You will work a Thursday/Friday 12am-8am schedule and a Saturday-Monday 4pm-12am shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct long patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Security Officer — Full Time

Site Location: Salem, OR

Wage: $17.50/HR

Schedule: Thursday, Friday 12am-8am, Saturday - Monday 4pm-12am

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
