Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory seeks a Security & Network Analyst II to monitor security events, identify threats, and assist with incident response across enterprise systems. You will collaborate with security engineers and analysts to strengthen defenses and tuning efforts, contributing to threat hunting and improved security posture.

This role emphasizes in-depth analysis of logs, endpoint telemetry, and network data, with escalation to cross-functional teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in technology, cybersecurity operations, or a closely related technical role.
• Experience in SOC/NOC, security operations, and hybrid security/network environments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex tickets and issues with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and threats using SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewall, and cloud security logs.
• Analyze logs and endpoint telemetry to identify threats, operational issues, and performance concerns.
• Investigate and manage tickets including alerts, vulnerability findings, and access issues.
• Conduct incident response activities: analysis, containment support, evidence collection, and post-incident follow-up.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to improve monitoring and response.
