Job summary

Amazon’s Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) to lead efforts protecting people, product and data within a designated building. The role reports to the Cluster Manager and supports cross-functional teams across the organization.

The SLP Specialist will conduct confidential investigations, identify vulnerabilities, and partner with internal and external teams to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 1+ year in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations, or Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity.
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
• Identify vulnerabilities and define corrective actions while ensuring compliance with laws and ethics.
• Serve as security liaison and crisis management SME for site leadership.
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and diagnose system issues with vendors and partners.
• Travel up to 25% domestically when applicable.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and work in variable environments and shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Conduct security audits and monitor health status of systems to maintain functionality.
